Spider Tanks: Beginner’s Game Mode Tips and Info
Here are some beginner tips and guide on how to play all Game Modes like Chicken Chaser, Poultry Pusher, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Team Death Match, and Kill Confirmed in the free to play PVP Brawler game ~ Spider Tanks. Please note that this is not the only way to play these game modes. Feel free to explore and use your own play style depending on your tank’s overall performance, preference, or team strategies.

Chicken Chaser
Game Mode – Objective:
– Chickens are scattered throughout the map, collect and deposit Chickens into those Barrels to score points! The team that deposits the most Chickens before the timer runs out ~ wins!
Chicken Chaser Beginner Tips
– Focus more on collecting Chickens, only attack if needed (ex: to steal Chickens, to help your teammate, or to defend yourself while moving towards the barrel).
– TIP: Communication is key, use “Alt” + “Left Click” to quickly let your teammates know the location of nearby Chickens (click Chickens), or if you need help depositing Chickens (click near the barrel).
– Use the Barrel as shield from enemy attacks, move around it if needed.
– Abilities like [Repair Zone] for example can increase your survivability while depositing Chickens. – [Shield Drone] can help defend yourself from enemy attacks, but with the recent update, you can no longer deposit Chickens while using this ability, so you need a teammate to defeat enemies while you tank. [Reactive Plating] or [Smoke Canister] can be used as an alternative.
– If you have a close/mid ranged weapon with high burst damage, you can try and setup some ambush plays to steal their chickens (best if you have an ability that can help you do this easier like [Cloak Drone], [Relay Drone], or [Disguise Drone] for example).
– [Repulsor Zone] is also a good ability to use, for pushing multiple enemies out of their barrel, giving your team a chance to steal their chickens.
– [Air Strike] ability can also be used to nuke enemies near those Barrels (requires good timing and accuracy though), then quickly move in to steal their Chickens.
Tips For Faster Tanks
– Faster tanks are really good here especially with [Speed Booster] ability. Use their movement speed to scout areas faster, to steal Chickens around your opponent’s area (just run, only attack if needed), and to support your team with equipped abilities.
– Just be careful not to fall into ambushes though, best equip a [Shield Drone], use it especially when it’s time to deposit those chickens but there are enemies around.
Tips For Slower or Super Slow Tanks
– For slower tanks, it might be best to prioritize chickens near your Barrel, best if you also have the [Speed Booster] ability. – Support your teammates carrying Chickens when needed.
– Optional: You can use your high armor tank to bait 1 or more tanks to attack you for as long as possible, this way these tanks would waste their time attacking your tank. Best done with [Shield Drone], use once your tank is about to get defeated.

Poultry Pusher
Game Mode – Objective
– Defend while staying inside your Chicken Overlord’s range to advance it’s movement, annihilate the enemy team or force them to move out of their Chicken Overlord’s range to delay or reverse it’s movement! – Once the battle starts, quickly move to your Chicken Overlord and defend.
– 2 Defenders and 1 Attacker = most commonly used strategy. Use the chat to talk with your team, decide who will stay or attack.
– 1 Defender and 2 Attackers = also ok especially if your team is lagging behind and have 2 capable attackers, then just go back to 2 Defenders once your team is leading. – 3 Defenders = possible strategy right from the start or near the end, but only if you team is leading. 1 Defender can go outside the range to attack or disrupt attackers. – The first team to move the Chicken Overlord will always get around 1% advantage right from the start. – 2 or 3 Tanks inside the circle = progress won’t speed up, 2 tanks is the max. – 1 Tank inside the circle = progress is slower.
– 0 Tank inside the circle = no progress
– *If left alone for a while, the Chicken Overlord would start to move back.
– 2 Tanks + 1 Enemy Tank inside the circle = progress would be slightly slower, enemy team can slowly catchup if they have 2 Tanks in their circle during that event.
– Healers with [Repair Zone] ability are really good here for sustain, especially for certain maps. Try together with [Turrets] = can be used as shield as well.
– Tanks with decent or high Armor + any ability than can increase survivability (like [Repair Drone], [Repair Zone], [Shield Projector] or [Shield Drone]) is also a good option here.
– NOTE: After the new update, using [Shield Drone] would not let your push or contest the payload! – Try to find a way to counter attackers.
– Example: If you are up against tanks that can only shoot straight up attacks, then [Shield Projector] is a good defensive ability to get. Note that T-Ray and Artillery weapons for example can go through a [Shield Projector]. [Turrets] are also a nice shield alternative against straight up attacks.
– Countering Teleporting Flamethrowers:
– 1) Just land your high burst damage once it teleports in (easier vs Flamethrowers with low~mid armor). – 2) Move away right before it starts to teleport in (needs timing), then get the kill as fast as possible.
– 3) Land a [Shield Projector] right in the middle of the circle to defend while attacking.
– 4) High armor tanks + [Reactive Plating] is also a nice counter.
– 5) May also try [Repulsor Zone], [Shield Drone] or [Grapnel Launcher].
– NOTE: After the new update, using [Shield Drone] would not let your push or contest the payload!
– T-Ray and Artillery weapons are the most annoying to be up against (especially those skilled ones!). Long ranged attacks or dodge + heal spam is a possible strategy. Throwing [Turrets] near it’s location to disrupt and give your team time to recover could be a nice alternative. 1 tank can also go aggressive and attack using [Speed Booster], [Relay Drone] or similar abilities to get the kill as fast as possible.
– Artillery weapons and other long ranged weapons are your team’s safe bets here but results would still depend on the tank’s capabilities (AoE/Single) and player skill. A long ranged attacker that can’t be reached by enemy defenders is the most ideal scenario. – Even better if you have an offensive type ability like [Air Strike] or [Grenade] for example to help nuke your targets or at least force them to move! [Stun Grenade] can give your team a slight advantage in terms of progress, if you can hit and inflict “jammed status” to enemies.
– Other alternatives = [Repulsor Zone] and [Turrets].
– Close/Mid ranged weapon with high burst damage (like Flamethrowers):
– You can try and setup an attack, or at least force them to move outside the range of their Chicken Overlord. Use [Relay Drone], [Shield Projector], or [Shield Drone] for example.
– [Cloak Drone] is also a viable option but it might not work well all the time.
– NOTE: After the new update, using [Shield Drone] would not let your push or contest the payload!
– Bouncer Gun weapon is a good attacker for this mode as well, just find a way to land your attacks. Try using a [Shield Projector] or [Turrets] to shield you from attacks.
– TIP: For best results, attackers should have a high battle rating if possible.

Capture the Flag

– Capture the Chicken Flag and hold it for as long as possible. Eliminate the carrier to retrieve the flag back to your team. Note though that even if the timer runs out, your team can still clutch a game and win!
Capture the Flag Beginner Tips
– Once the battle starts, quickly move to the location where you can grab the Chicken Flag (varies per map). Be careful though, if you think you can’t survive even if you can get the flag, it might be better to eliminate your enemies first.
Tips For Flag Holders
– NOTE: The Chicken Flag holder will always get a speed debuff (slower movement speed). Really not cool if you have a slow tank >_
